Getting to know each other and sharing in each others hopes and joys, sadness and disappointment is a vital part of "being Church." A few of our ministries are focused on fellowship, but fill other vital roles in the parish as well.
Coffee Hour Ministry
The Coffee Hour Ministry offers a warm welcome and introductions to newcomers, and sociability and fellowship to all. We hope the hot drinks, juices, and donuts will foster lots of friendly conversation and strengthen our Parish community.
Each Sunday from September through May, everone is invited to join us in Fannon Hall after the 10:00 am Mass. There you can cultivate warm friendships, catch up on local news, and sample the goodies!
With the new Mass schedule, having Coffee Hour after Mass can become too late in the day for some folks, so we initiated an "Early Bird Coffee Hour" starting before Mass at 8:30 am. Come to either, or come to both. We try to always have plenty of beverages and plenty of donuts, and we've never run out of our own brand of Saint Ambrose's love and welcome!
The Saint Ambrose Men’s Club is an inter-denominational group of men working to develop and maintain a spirit of fellowship and community within Saint Ambrose Parish and the town of Cheverly. The Club hosts a number of fundraising events during the course of the year,
including an annual spaghetti dinner, a golf tournament, a beer garden at the annual Cheverly Day celebration, and usually a crab and shrimp feast (during the crab season).
