The Children's Liturgy of the Word takes place each Sunday at the 10:00 am Mass. Just before the first reading, Father Cortinovis invites all children (ages approximately 3-10) to come to the altar to be led to a back room to participate in the liturgy at their level. Two adult volunteers lead the children in that week's gospel, a discussion and activity. The children also sing songs and say prayers before returning to the main body of the church for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Parents are always welcome to join their children at the Children's Liturgy. We are always looking for new adults interested in serving as a volunteer leader approximately once every six weeks.

The Ministry of Hospitality has been established to enhance the overall spiritual experience of our congregates by providing a welcoming and comforting worship environment during the assemblage for Saturday and Sunday Masses as well as throughout the Church's other liturgical services and activities.
First and foremost, the ministry is engaged in the coordination and implementation of The Ushers and Greeters Program. This newly developed and most interesting program is composed of a select group of well-informed parishioners who have agreed to serve in various positions extending a "public relations" team approach embracing the entire Church community.
A detailed manual describing the roles, responsibilities, and related topics pertinent to this important ministry is available for your review upon request. An orientation and/or training session will be offered at certain times within the Church calendar.
Lectors play an important role in the Mass by sharing the Word of God and strengthening the faith of the congregation. Those who wish to become lectors participate in a short training session and are scheduled monthly to read during one of the Masses. We welcome all interested individuals from high school age and up.
How do we help each person who celebrates with us to have an encounter with Christ in the Eucharist? That's the ultimate goal of the Liturgy Committee. We meet 7-8 times per year to discuss themes for seasons, the church environment, enhancements to the our celebration, and more! Because of the need to coordinate across the liturgical ministries, several heads of ministries are on the committee, as are interested parishioners. Please consider joining us!

Sunday 10:00 am Choir
Contact: Mark Kozeal, Choir Director
Members of the parish choir are dedicated parishioners who minister to the Saint Ambrose community by supporting and enhancing the singing assembly. The choir sings at the 10:00 Mass each Sunday (except during July and August) and for special feasts and events throughout the year. Choir practice is held from 8:00 to 9:30 on Wednesday evenings (September through Mid-June). Choir membership is open to musicians of varied levels of ability and experience. To participate one need only be able to match pitch ("carry a tune") and make a commitment.
