To create ties between our English and Spanish speaking communities at Saint Ambrose and promote global solidarity through our relationship with our sister parish of San Agustin, El Salvador. We connect families from our two communities here with families in our sister parish, and we sponsor projects to support the people of San Agustin.
Global Solidarity Team
The purpose of the Global Solidarity Team is to help the Saint Ambrose faith community become aware of the desperate poverty of our sisters and brothers across the globe and to engage in concrete actions to address that challenge to full human dignity.
The current "concrete action" opportunities include:
Ladies of Charity
The Saint Ambrose Ladies of Charity is a local chapter of the Ladies of Charity of the United States of America. Our goal is to provide material and spiritual comfort to the need in the local community and beyond. Each member uses her unique talents in her own way, with a relatively small time commitment, to give back to the community.
Our activities include:
We meet on the first Tuesday of each month from September through May.
Saint Vincent de Paul
In our conference of St. Vincent de Paul: as we meet to pray and discuss how to help someone, as we reach out together, visiting someone in need, as we put together Christmas baskets, we become family. And so as family we also meet to thank God and celebrate!
